Coaching

I believe this program to be somewhat unique based on my personal experiences, the faculty that I am assembling and the way that advisors will be developed.  While knowledge delivered and content will be state of the art, the primary focus will be coaching the participants to move to implementation and doing the work with their clients.

I have also designed a front-end intake that will take applicants through their own self-discovery and self-analysis before they enter the program to increase the likelihood of a successful outcome for them.

David CohnI have spent the last several years in and around business and business owners.  I am fascinated by the world that I live in and have observed over the years.

From the age of eleven, I grew up in a family retail business in Baton Rouge. After graduating from college I spent the next twenty-five years working in that business, experiencing all the challenges and opportunities of working in a family business and retiring both my dad and his partner.  I eventually sold the business in 1993.

Listening to the stories of business owners from all walks of life and having our own challenges in our business, I then decided that I wanted to help other business owners have an easier time in and through the transition process, working with them in a comprehensive way that I found lacking in our experiences.  I realized that there was more than meets that eye to most advisors and professionals working with business owners.

I moved to Denver, joined Cigna Financial Advisors, and spent four years in intensive training getting steeped in estate, insurance, investment and financial planning.  I then left CIGNA (now Sagemark) and formed David Cohn and Associates.  I have spent the last ten years developing my skills and capabilities in understanding systems theory, human behavior, group dynamics and other related fields. It has truly been an adventure.

I have worked with all sorts of businesses and business owners all over the country.  I have had the privilege of being allowed into their lives and working with them to sort out and integrate their business, financial, family and estate issues.

In 2007, I decided to fulfill another dream and started 360 Practices to train and develop other advisors who wanted to be able to serve the broader needs of their clients.

I believe this program to be somewhat unique based on my personal experiences, the faculty that I am assembling and the way that advisors will be developed.  While knowledge delivered and content will be state of the art, the primary focus will be coaching the participants to move to implementation and doing the work with their clients.

Over the last seven years I developed the business track in a national wealth coaching program for participants that were also working with business owners.  This program was built out with questionnaires, tools and other resources for advisors.  Additionally, I taught and worked with the members to both educate and coach them in working with families and closely-held businesses.  The results were very rewarding.

I have also designed a front-end intake which will take applicants through their own self-discovery and self-analysis before they enter the program to increase the likelihood of a successful outcome for them.

I invite you to have a larger conversation with us to explore whether this endeavor is right for you or your organization.
